- The American Lung Association released their 2017 “State of the Air” report, which ranks metropolitan areas according to ozone and particle pollution.
- CNN did a great write-up of the recent report from the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health, which maps how climate change is impacting public health in different regions of the United States.
- South Lake Tahoe, California became the latest U.S. municipality to commit to 100 percent clean and renewable electricity.
- An Eastern Kentucky coal mining company plans to build what could become the state's largest solar farm on a reclaimed mountaintop strip mine.
- Light-rail trains in the Seattle metro area will soon be running on wind power.
