Hon. Elizabeth Kautz
Elizabeth B. Kautz is currently serving her seventh term as Mayor of Burnsville, MN, having first gained office in 1994.
Mayor Kautz recently served as President of United States Conference of Mayors (USCM), and now serves as a Trustee of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. She is Chairperson for the Council of Regents’ at St. Mary’s University, serves on the Board of Directors for Greater MSP, on the Governor’s Workforce Development Council, and for the Local Government Advisory Committee to the EPA Administrator. Mayor Kautz is also a Co-founder of the Minnesota Regional Council of Mayors, and represents Burnsville on numerous local, regional, state, and national boards.
Mayor Kautz received her Master’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology from the Alfred Adler Institute in Chicago, IL, and was awarded an undergraduate degree in Theology with a psychology focus from the St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.
Mayor Kautz was one of the first women to serve as a Professional Minister within the Catholic Church as Pastoral Minister.
